Today we will learn how to make your Android smartphone as a wifi repeater for free.
Why make your Android smartphone as a repeater?
Let me explain. I have a phone which gets no internet when my tv is connected to the same wifi.
I don't know what is the issue is but I've observed that whenever my tv is turned on, the wifi on my phone becomes useless.
So my phone is there only to receive or do phone calls nothing else. Upon research I came to know that we can use a second phone as a wifi repeater.
Follow the following steps
1) Download the net share app from the play store on the Android phone which you want to use as a wifi repeater https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kha.prog.mikrotik
2) Open app and press on setup wifi hotspot.
3) In the below drop-down option it will show proxy settings such as ip address and port number, keep a note of it.
4) On another phone, put the wifi credentials and connect.
5) After connecting you will have to go to that wifi options and input proxy settings such as ip address, port number and bypass ip address. Ip address and bypass ip address must be same.
6) Now go on with your usual business and enjoy your internet.
Disclaimer: Using this method does not guarantee internet on all apps but you can watch videos on YouTube, browse the internet, update apps but cannot play games like bgmi, blogger.
Although you might get latency issue as it is routing through another smartphone, I found no issue watching YouTube videos in my smartphone.
