Today we will learn how to install and use uniget UI software. It is an open source software which is available at GitHub. Open source meaning you can checkout the code and find out if there's anything suspicious about the software. Or you can report the bugs to the developer by raising an issue.
So what's uniget UI?
How do I explain this to a non-techie person? You know there is something called as terminal in windows which is almost the same as Linux. You can use it to install/remove apps with just one command, but for a normal user it's a bummer so that's why this app exists.
It is a all in one place to download your software/apps without using your web browser.
Because when you use Google chrome to search for let's say notepad++
The search results might have sponsored links at the top from different developers of the same competition or malware software.
I know you are not that gullible to download malware from the internet but just to be safe than to be sorry try this software.
You can update/upgrade your software packages from this app. Uninstall or remove packages from this app.
Tutorial about using the software, I don't think that's necessary as it's what you see is what you get.
What else can this software be used for?
Suppose you want to install a clean version of windows again? It can be a hassle to install all the apps again one by one right?
In the package bundle option in uniget UI you can add all the packages you would like to install all together when you move to another computer or reset it. It creates an executable of all the apps in just one file for you to install them again.
Compatibile with windows 10 and above. Ofcourse you can use the Microsoft Store to download apps if you don't like this or vice versa.
Wasn't aware about this one, thanks. Keep posting such informative content 🙂
