Parabolic app: To download youtube videos for offline viewing in remote areas for computers.

Today we will learn how to download youtube videos with the help of a software called parabolic.

I have linux so I will guide steps for linux installation. For windows it's the same download .exe and enjoy.

To install you can use their GitHub page or search for it in your repository, software manager by typing parabolic. Most Linux software managers must have it. Mind you must have flatpak enabled or else you won't find it in your search results.

It is available for 64 bit and arm processors. Unfortunately it's a no for 32 bit users.

After installation open parabolic and it is as simple as copy pasting links and clicking the add download button. Click validate.

You can choose the default resolution or choose as per your needs. You can also download subtitles if you want it.

In advance option you can get YouTube videos like features such as split videos by chapters, video description, etc.

Then choose your download folder and click on download.

This tool can be impactful and helpful for rural students where they don't have good internet connection or if they don't have unlimited internet connection.

They can have educational videos downloaded and play offline.

Please don't abuse this app. All good things must be used with caution.

You can do more research about it from their GitHub page https://github.com/NickvisionApps/Parabolic

In my another post I will teach how to download youtube videos from android devices.
