How to block ads on your web browser

Today, we will learn how to block advertisements on your browser. Don’t get me wrong I am not against advertisements but sometimes it becomes nagging after getting hit by the same ad everywhere. I have an Pentium 4 processor based computer and it cannot handle day-to-day tasks of the modern web. So, to increase it’s life span I use ad block and it is fairly usable after that to use the computer.

Install Ublock origin plugin for Firefox or Google chrome and it should do the job for almost all the average Joe.

Here’s the link to add it into your Firefox browser

I use Firefox as my default browser if you want it for google just click on the link and watch it’s developer name and icon you can easily find it in your chromium store.

Wazirx hack: A travesty for Indian crypto users and other Indian exchanges

This post is going to be as blunt as possible and let me take out all my anger, sorrow emotions all together. On July 18 2024 wazirx exchange experienced a cyber hack in their cold wallets. I noticed it happened live while I was with my father for his regular checkup. I was of the opinion that it must be a hoax or might be little amount as they must have had all their funds in cold wallets and wallets don't get hacked as it is backed by blockchain and we hold the private key. So I went on with my day and when I return back that evening it was raining tweets all over and it was catastrophic. Ideally I should have withdrawn the money as it was unfolding at 11 o clock but the wazirx fan in me was too strong to withdraw. I didn't withdraw when the government announced ban on crypto in 2018. I didn't withdraw when FTX fraud happened, lol I brought some during the downturn hoping to get some return but lost!  I didn't withdraw when Terra LUNA happened, I also brought some in ...

There are two methods to install this screensaver. One is a GUI and another terminal based. Let's start with gui first as many people freakout for terminal method. GUI METHOD 1) If you are already on Ubuntu based distribution like linux mint or mx linux. Then you need to open it's software center like the one in Android called play store.  What's a linux distribution? Linux is broadly categorised into flavours of different types of window managers. Linux was earlier only terminal based but with time we got different versions of linux as it was open sourced. We now have cinnamon, xfce, kde, gnome, openbox based flavours. So for beginners I would recommend trying linuxmint cinnamon edition if you are coming from windows and pop os if you are coming from Mac os. Although they are n...
